Goals

Besides the few I already have, I think I should set some goals. I haven't even decided what kind of goals these should be, but I know there should be some long term and ridiculously short term included. Some of the ridiculously short term would include just normal everyday 'to-do' list type things.

Anyway, this weekend I have a pretty busy Sunday. We receive Edison's baptism medallion at church, Lilly's dance studio is having an open house at the new location, then I have a social for sorority. I think my goal for that day will just be to get through it without being rushed since everything is pretty much back to back.

I would also like to/need to get some time in on my sewing machine. I am making a gift for someone and need to get it done soon. I also want to bust out some of my fabrics and get some prototypes done of potential craft fair items. I think my goal for tomorrow will be to make a doll. I have some really cute fabrics for the dresses and felt for the hair, I just need a fabric pen to draw a face and see if I have any matching fabrics for the legs. I want to make them pretty small, like hand-size dolls. I think they would be different enough from any other dolls I have seen at craft fairs and great for little hands. Plus it would use hardly any fabric so I could get a lot of out of one piece.

Another goal for my weekend needs to be straightening up some things around the house. Now that the Christmas stuff is put away in the closet I want to finally get the basement cleaned up and usable as a playroom and my sewing area. I also need to take a couple kitchen drawers out and go through those. They are so jam packed I don't even know what all is in them anymore.

I also need to make a point to finish out my first full week at the gym. I have gone every night since Sunday and feel really good about that. I don't exactly take full advantage of it right now because I just go and use the treadmill and not weight stuff, but I figure I will start off slow and work my way to other things and a longer duration on things. On the plus side I am really optimistic about my progress in these short 5 days. I have been using Loseit.com and have come in well under the daily calorie intake [after exercising especially]. I will do my official 'start' weigh-in on Sunday because I didn't last week. I did weigh myself on their scale they have just to see where I was starting, but it was evening and I had just eaten shortly before. A full day of food and dinner still sitting in my stomach doesn't make for a very accurate weight. I weighed myself again last night.  So, it was still in the evening, and I had already eaten dinner although more time had passed before I went to the gym. I was happy to see it was 4 pounds less than the weight on Sunday. So I know this isn't probably the case or how much I have actually lost but I figure since some of the factors are the same (working out at night, eating a full days worth of meals, etc) I have to have lost something!
