Done with the OT!

Happy news today! We had Edison's last Occupational Therapy session. The OT, Kristie, just wanted to do a developmental assessment. She had a number of little tests to check fine motor skills. She did things like try to get Edison to put a peg in a hole, take a goldfish cracker out of a container, etc. The score was out of 100 but with an adjusted age of 13 months with anything within a 15 range over or under being within limits. As a preemie, the points weigh differently so he had 112 points. For his actual age he had 94 points so he was still awesome! The best thing is we are DONE with the OT. This means the bill we have accumulated stops at about $350. Ugh. Just when we were going to have my hospital bill paid off for giving birth to Edison we have the PT and OT bill. Oh well, it was absolutely necessary and I am so happy they were able to help him.

It has been so funny to watch Edison WALKING around the house. His mind definitely starts going faster than his legs can keep up. So of course he falls. Usually he face plants it. It never phases him. He crawls himself to the nearest thing to grab onto to pull himself back up to two feet and off he goes. He has also added a couple words to his small list. He now says Cheese, socks, blanket, and stickers. No, he does NOT say mama or dada. Is he not the most bizarre kid ever?

This morning we also had Lilly's dance class after a month break. They built a new studio because their business have just gone crazy. The new place is at least 5 times bigger than the old one and just gorgeous. Edison had room to roam and it is just as close if not closer to the house. Lilly is very excited for her performance on stage.

In the weight loss world... you know I am dedicated when I don't really care anymore that I am the only female in the gym with 5 other people. I have actually been kind of discouraged for some reason though. I know that I have only been gun ho here again for a week but I have just felt so BLAGH. I cant remember who, but someone pinned a thing on pinterest that said "It takes 4 weeks for you to notice a change in your body, 8 weeks for friends and family, and 12 weeks for the rest of the world. SO STICK WITH IT". I hope this blargh feeling goes away fast because it is just frustrating. I have been busting my butt and don't even feel really good about it.

I am going to blame the overall funk I am in because of the cancellation of my beloved soap opera. Again, taunt if you will but darnit I have spent 2/3 of my life watching that show. It is depressing and unbearable.

Tomorrow I am going to post a picture of something that Paco came home with this weekend. It was free.... and ridiculous. Just you wait...
