let the de-cluttering begin!

I managed to get my ‘test run’ WeeTail items all sorted, hung, tagged, and dropped off to Hawkeye Downs this afternoon. I still really look forward to the garage sale that my friends and I are going to put on in late May/early June but I think it will be interesting to see what sells at this. It is consignment so I felt it was okay to price things a little higher, but I wonder what people will find great, okay, and ridiculous. I know my mom and I have spent $7 there before on an outfit. If it was Gymboree and looked perfect then of course we would buy it! So hopefully people feel the same way about some of the stuff I did. I didn’t really price things too high, just high enough that if it sells I get a little more than what I would at a garage sale after the cut the lady putting it on keeps. Will update on Sunday! I am the awesome one that wrote down every single thing and the price that I put in the sale. I will totally do the same thing for a garage sale. Although that is going to take a lot longer. oy. But I want to be able to keep track of what I sell and still have. I never said I wasn’t strange and OCD.

In other news… yesterday I filled out my questionnaire for JURY DUTY. While I would love to have the experience, $30, and a day out of the house, I really don’t think I want to do jury duty next week so I hope I get passed over or excused. For one thing Paco is going to be traveling next week. He will be in California so that kind of leaves me in a spot. The thing about being a stay at home mom is that when things like this come up you cant just drop kids off at the daycare provider or babysitter because that would be YOU! Plus I am pretty sure it would cost me more than the $30 the city of cedar rapids is going to pay me to throw my kids on someone else for that time.

ell, I have an angry Edison so this is actually a brief update. Pretty dull but so if my life sometimes. Gotta find some time to clean this mess of a house too! I really need that garage sale to hurry up so I can de-clutter and make get some much needed cash!
