... but I sure wish I was at the finish line. What else is fairly cliche that I can throw on here.... One step forward, two steps back? I guess it is more like 2 steps forward one step back though for the majority. I weighed in this morning a pound and a half heavier. RAWR. It's not like I have anyone/thing to blame but myself. I ate decent at the beginning of the week but I didn't run all week because, well Paco was gone, but I have been watching the Olympics. I am going to try and take it in stride since I know I will get to my goal. I just wish it wasn't so quick to change when I let up just a bit. It seems every time I lose a little I gain some back the next check.
Enough on that. Like I said Paco had to travel for work this last week and we managed to survive. I am not a fan of his absence because I tend to not sleep or wait to sleep until the point of exhaustion so that I DO sleep when I finally concede and go to bed. The problem with this week is that when I finally hit that point and went to bed and was just dosing off the kids woke up. I was so tired by Thursday I fell asleep while Edison took a nap and Lilly was playing. I did at least fall asleep on the couch and she was mostly engrossed in a tv show.
I also took the time to sew for the craft fair. I have been working on the reusable snack and sandwich bags because they are fairly labor-some. Last night I worked on some of the sandwich liners and only got velcro on 10. I am going ahead and putting the velcro on and stitching the sides so that when all of the liners are done I can just throw the outsides together very quickly. They should come together fast after that. Then I will work on bibs, then crinkle tag blankies. Then I obviously have a whole bunch more but I try not to get too far ahead otherwise it is a bit overwhelming!
I don't know what else to say. I have been busy, but who isn't. I have a lot of random thoughts all the time that probably bore most everyone. Paco told me I should mention our child's hidden talent of catching flies though.
Seriously. Lilly keeps catching pet flies. FLIES. She has caught 4 flies now. I never see her do it but she keeps coming up to me with a fly in some container of hers and beams that she caught a new pet fly. She usually promptly gives it a bath. It is also usually that flies first and ONLY bath. yeah. I would love to see how she catches them. I'm okay with her method really. Less flies that stick around and bug me. ha!
Well, I wont bore you. I probably wont post for at least another week either so don't get too worried...
