droool...

This week has not been my most awesome as far as... well just being I guess. I have just felt blah and although I set certain weight loss goals for the week I don't even know if I want to weigh myself on Sunday. We'll see. On the plus side I have still been out running or walking with Bailey every night. Tonight I was particularly awesome and ran 2 miles in 18:30 then stopped at my moms for 15 minutes because it is en route and did the mile home in 8:55. How awesome is that!?! I was way pumped over my 9:37 average but to be at just over 9 minutes and then to do a mile under is pretty cool. I really should learn the whole pacing myself thing and get to a comfortable stride.

My whole week wasn't awful because (drooool) I made the most awesome and amazing discovery/purchase EVER on Thursday... yesterday (wow the days are just running together). I bought THIS:

Isn't it the most beautiful thing you have ever seen? Wednesday night I looked in the penny saver and saw an ad that had a White Serger. I couldn't decide if I wanted to try and get there as soon as the sale opened or wait until Friday or what. When I went to bed I decided I didn't want to chance it and not know what I may or may not have missed out on since I have been looking for/wanting a serger for so long. I set my alarm for 7:30 since it wasn't that far away and I figured we could do breakfast when we got home. I got there about 8:10 and started searching fervently for the serger without success. Then back in the corner it was sitting on the table. Yay! Now there was the price issue. I had decided the night before that depending on condition, age, instruction manual/accessories I was willing to pay $50. I was so excited when I saw it was $25. I was sold. It was obviously an older model which is fantastic because they are built to last, all metal. I started asking the owner if there were any quirks and the last time it was serviced. She said she couldn't remember because it didn't have a lot of mileage on it and it was regularly serviced because her brother in law works at west side sewing. (AWESOME). She did add then that the one thing that happened when she was getting it out of storage was that she cracked the foot pedal. It is nothing that hinders the work ability but she chose on her own to lower the price to $15!!! It was all threaded and everything so I got to test it out right away and it is SO smooth and amazing. Paco looked it up online and it is selling on ebay for $200-$350!!!!!!!! I got the most fantastic deal! I just need to find the time to really sit down and re-learn sergers and MAKE stuff!

Oh and here is my cavalry. My tank sewing machines. Mmmmm, nothing but metal.
